Who does he play like?

One match of video is enough to read how a player moves and how he plays. Player DNA turns it into a 22-dimension fingerprint and finds the reference players who moved the same way, at the same age, before their breakout.

How Player DNA works

A movement and game fingerprint from one match of video, matched against the stars at the same age.

  1. 01

    Upload one full match

Broadcast, tactical camera or club recording, with the player at least 50 px tall in frame.

  2. 02

    Build the fingerprint

Our biomechanics engine and tracking pipeline fill 22 dimensions, each tagged with its source.

  3. 03

    Match the library

Reference players compared at the same age, weighted by position, with coverage always shown.

  4. 04

    Deliver the note

Profile, similarity and next requests land in the Scouting Hub, ready for the recruitment meeting.

Movement is the one thing a highlight reel can't edit

Movement is in every second of footage. Goals and dribbles can be cherry-picked. How a player accelerates, brakes, turns and holds his balance cannot. After a handful of matches it settles into a signature that is his alone.

  • Knee drive
  • Trunk lean
  • Stride span

Twenty-two numbers in two layers make one signature

Every value carries its source. Movement DNA is how the body moves, measured by a biomechanics engine from ordinary footage. Game DNA is what he does with it, read by our tracking pipeline. Each dimension is marked measured, from video or missing.

Compared with the stars when they were his age

Same age, same stage of the career. Comparing a 19-year-old with a superstar today tells you nothing. Comparing him with that star at 21, before the breakout, tells you whether he is on a path. The library holds elite players by position, at peak and at the pre-breakout age. Reference shapes are illustrative until measured biomechanics replace them.

A scout's note with an opinion and a shopping list

Never a signing recommendation. Priority and next steps only. TS Vision writes the note a senior scout would: what the resemblance rests on and what it doesn't, strengths, concerns, and what to request next, addressed to the agent, the club or the data team.

  • Priority: track, watch or pass
  • Strengths and concerns
  • Request next: more matches, GPS exports, further biomechanics runs

Questions about Player DNA

What video do you need?

One full match is the minimum for a fingerprint; highlight reels are triaged, not fingerprinted. The player should be at least 50 pixels tall in frame: a club camera from 10–20 m or a 720p+ broadcast.

Do players need GPS or wearables?

No. Everything is read from video. If the club has GPS exports, they tighten the movement layer.

Is a similarity score a transfer recommendation?

No. It is a shape and its coverage. The note gives a priority and next steps; the decision stays with your scouts.

Who is in the reference library?

Elite players by position, each stored twice: at peak and at the age before the breakout. Reference shapes are illustrative until measured biomechanics replace them.
